In recent weeks, our foundation has unfortunately become a target for scammers. They have been abusing our transparent account to impersonate us and attempt to solicit funds from unsuspecting people under false pretenses.
We refuse to let our reputation be used as a tool for fraud. After consulting with law enforcement, we have decided to take a preventive step: we are switching our bank account from a transparent to a standard account.
What this means for our donors:
- In practice, nothing changes for you. The account number remains exactly the same.
- All donations will continue to be received and used exactly as you are accustomed to.
- The change only affects the public visibility of our transactions.
This move is purely protective. We are cooperating fully with the authorities and exploring ways to secure our systems so that such abuse cannot happen in the future. As soon as the security situation allows, we intend to return to our transparent mode.
